Joel Key is an Oakland-based artist specializing in landscape watercolor painting. He began exploring the mountains, streams, coasts, forests, and fields of California with his family. So began his love of nature. As a public school art teacher and administrator for almost 20 years, Joel makes art in his free time. His paintings on paper range from the monumental to the minute and capture the light, energy, and color of the places he travels.
